Ride to Downtown
Destination: Downtown Anchorage
Reserve your ride from the zoo back to Downtown Anchorage. The drop off point will be on 4th Avenue on the north side between D and E Streets. The shuttle will leave at the reserved time, so please go to the shuttle curb at the zoo to board early.
- Online reservations are required.
- Trips to the zoo from Downtown are reserved separately.
- The final return trip to Downtown Anchorage leaves the zoo at 2:30pm.
- Our shuttle is FREE. Capacity is limited to 12 passengers.
- Shuttle operates Wednesdays through Saturdays, May 22 through August 8, 2026.
- There is no shuttle service on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays.
- The zoo will close early at 3pm on June 25th and July 16th for after-hours events.
Departure times from the Zoo (meet at the shuttle curb):
- 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm - please arrive early at the shuttle curb.
- Times listed are departure times from the zoo to Downtown.
- The 2:30pm shuttle is the last ride from the zoo to Downtown. If you plan to be at the zoo past 2:30pm, you will need to book alternate transportation such as an Uber, Lyft or Taxi.
